    Mallow connectivityMallow Hub is strategically located, strategically planned and strategically supported by national and local Government. The website aims to attract businesses that are looking to locate or those that are hoping to expand or relocate to a new location to consider Mallow. Mallow has a strategic positioning for investment and is supported by the following government agency plans;

    • National Spatial Strategy - Mallow is one of the 9 designated Hub Towns, a pivotal location between Cork and Limerick.  The NSS states that Mallow will perform an important role within the national structure at the regional and county level.  www.irishspatialstrategy.ie
    • Cork Area Strategic Plan - Builds on Mallows national designation as a Hub Town and further supports its development as a strategic employment location in the CASP area, Irelands largest economic development region outside of Dublin.
    • County Development Plan 2003 - Places Mallow Hub at the top of its hierarchy of employment centres in the County, designating it as one of its primary ‘major employment centres’.
    • Mallow Special Local Area Plan - Presents a unified development framework for the town and its’ immediate environs, looking beyond 2020 it provides for population growth up to 30,000 with zoned enterprise land to support an employment base of up to 10,000.
    • Atlantic Gateways Initiative - Mallow Hub sits strategically central on the Atlantic Corridor between and close to the national Gateway cities of Cork and Limerick.
    • Decentralisation Plan-Failte Ireland is proposed to be decentralised to Mallow www.decentralisation.gov.ie
    • Demographic and Economic Development Strategy for the Mallow Area to 2020-This study was undertaken by Goodbody Economic Consultants and was commissioned by Mallow Chamber of Commerce and others, published in 2003.   Its predictions for employment and population growth are in line with the National Government Agencies plans for Mallow Hub.
