The Mallow Special Local Area Plan was adopted by Mallow Town Council and Cork County Council on the 25th of June, 2007 and looks forward to the year 2020. The purpose of the plan is to identify a unified development framework for the town and its' immediate environs as a whole taking into account its' 'Hub' status arising from the National Spatial Strategy. Although the plan's contains specific land use proposals for the town and its' environs, account is also taken of the town's role in relation to its wider social and economic hinterland.
