Transport and Travel
Mallow has long been known as the 'Cross-roads of Munster' as it lies at the intersection of the Cork-Limerick and Rosslare-Killarney Routes. Its central location has meant that Mallow has easy access to Cork, Limerick and Killarney as well as to the towns and amenities in much of Munster.
Mallow is a key location on what will become the 'Atlantic Corridor' and is probably the best served town in Ireland for Rail. There are daily rail services from Mallow to Cork, Limerick, Dublin and Kerry (daily hourly services to & from Cork and Dublin) with excellent rail station parking facilities.
There are 14 daily bus services, on the hour linking Mallow with Cork, Limerick, Shannon airport and Galway. We have easy access to three airports - Cork, Shannon and Farranfore. Getting around the town itself is relatively straightforward, and there are plans to upgrade the local road network. A large number of taxis are also operate locally and accessible people carriers are available to cater for people with disabilities. There is also a rural bus service connecting the surrounding areas to the town.
