The Blackwater Valley Cycle Route
The Blackwater Valley Cycle Route is a 191Km long spanning from Rathmore to Midleton. The route passes through 18 villages and towns including Mallow. The beauty of " The Blackwater Valley Cycle Trail " is that it can be joined at any stage and that it boasts numerous cultural and heritage sites. The trail is also close to a wide range of activities from Fishing to Hot Air Balloon rides!! A loop section encompassing Mallow Ballyclough, Buttevant and Doneraile can also be cycled and the trail is fully signed.
Ballyoura Mountain Biking
Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Centre is located near the village of Ard Patrick in East Limerick. A full range of visitor services are provided at the trailhead such as map boards, car parking, bike wash, showers and toilets. Trail friendly accommodation, bike rental & good food are available locally. Use of the trails are free with small charges applying to the other visitor services provided.

Designed by one of the world leaders in the sport, Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails are constructed to give a challenging and rewarding ride.
Forest road climbs lead into tight twisty single-track with loads of ups and downs, tight turns and technical rocky bits. The trails range from the moderate 6 kilometre Greenwood loop to the demanding Castlepook loop, over 50 kilometres in lenght.
The trails are laid out as stacked loops and are colour coded and way marked in one direction, just read the detailed trail information signs at the trail head to pick the one most suitable for you.
