Mallow Heritage Centre provides a genealogy research service. The centre holds over one million entries in its database, making it the third largest record database in Ireland. Records available are the Cloyne Diocesan Baptism and Marriage records for North and East Cork.

Because of the immense size of its database many people decide to begin the search for their Irish ancestors in the 46 parishes included in the database to determine whether their ancestors originated in the Cloyne Diocesan area and, if not, to eliminate it from their research.
