Mallow provides an extensive range of health services to the community. We have a large number of General Practices and Dental Practices. There is very good access to primary health care and general health services. Mallow General Hospital is a hugely important resource to the community providing secondary care services. A number of larger hospitals, including Cork University Hospital are no more than 45 minutes away in Cork City. Mallow also hosts a number of physiotherapists and gyms.

Mallow General Hospital (MGH) is an acute 54 bed hospital situated on the main Mallow/Limerick road approx 1 mile outside Mallow town. MGH serves a population of around 100,000 people. MGH does not have an A & E Dept, this having been replaced by an Urgent Care Centre (open 7 days, 8am to 8pm) and made up of a Mediacl Assessment Unit and a Local Injury Unit. Other services provided by MGH include; General Medicine including specialities Geriatric Medicine, Gastroenterology, Respiratory Medicine and Cardiology, General Surgery including Urology and ENT, Day Procedure Unit, High Dependency Unit, Coronary Care, Endoscopy Unit, Radiology Unit, Out Patient Dept, Physiotherapy Unit and Laboratory.

Mallow Primary Healthcare Centre is developed to provide caring, considerate and modern primary medical care in a state of the art building. They provide open access primary care to all the community of Mallow and its environs to best standards, encompassing the latest technology, which helps to fulfil the aim of bringing modern facilities, diagnostic examinations and medical care to the patient in the community.
