Spooktacular Events at Mallow Castle, Sunday October 30th from 4.00pm

GHOSTS, ghouls and things that go bump in the theme of a Halloween ‘spooktacular’ event taking place grounds of Mallow Castle on Sunday, October 30.

‘Get into the spirit’ of the season, inviting people to dress up as scary spectres, wrathful witches and wizards and possessed phantoms for an afternoon of freaky fun and frolics.

The event, which will run from 4pm – 6pm, will be packed with entertainment including a performance by the Centre Stage School of their spine-tingling ‘Thriller’ dance. Lightbulb Youth Theatre in conjunction with CDYS will also perform a dance routine.

The man dubbed ‘Ireland’s greatest living storyteller’, the inimitable Eddie Lenihan will also be on hand to thrill and intrigue the little ones with his legendary tales of fairies, folklore and the Fianna which have given so much joy to people over the years.

He will be telling stories for those under seven from 4pm – 4.30pm and for older children from 4.30pm – 5pm.

Ahead of the big day, children are also being encouraged to take part in the ‘Halloween Trail’ to find a decoration with a Cork County Council logo in participating shops.

Trail maps can be picked up in the World of Wonder, Eason’s, Katie’s, Pi Cycles and Mods & Minis.

The first, second and third prize winners will receive a family pass to the Gate Cinema, Mallow with the fourth prize winners scooping a €30 voucher for Mods and Minis.
