Munster Maths & Science Family Fair - 15th October, 2017

The seventh Munster Maths and Science Family Fair 2017 will be held on Sunday, 15th October in the Mallow GAA Complex, Carrigoon, Mallow, Co Cork. This one day event is one of the biggest Maths and Science Fairs in Ireland attracting large attendances year on year.

The key aim of the event is to create an awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) by showcasing and targeting activities in these areas to the public through exhibits from industry, research institutes, third level institutions, science clubs, primary and secondary schools projects.

Some of those exhibiting at last year’s event were Irish Defence Forces, FabLab, Dairygold, Designer Minds, Blizzard Entertainment, Kostal, Institute of Physics, WIT Maths Week, Mallow Library, CIT – Department of Sport Science, Eli Lilly, Mallow CoderDojo, Midas Ireland, Blackrock Castle Observatory and many, many more. A large number of local primary schools and secondary schools also showcased a wide range of Maths and Science Projects. Attendees will enjoy a fun day of educational and inspirational interactive exhibits and demonstrations.

The event is organised by Mallow Development Partnership in association with Cork County Council and Mallow Chamber.
